Symphony in B&W, No. 2
March 19th, 2010

Just a few lines of light that I love from my recent downtown LA Art Installation project. As I mentioned in Wednesday’s post, Symphony in B&W No. 1, my goal was to capture the energy of the city. I played around with slow shutter speeds and high contrast settings to capture movement and a play on line and perspective. Here are just a few of my favorites…

Stay tuned for the color shots!
Have a great weekend!

See you tonight! LOVE these of LA - especially the first one.
Another great set. I love all of these. I’m waiting impatiently for the colour ones, but I have to say the b&w are just perfect. Love the motion, and the feel of these pictures. Wonderful job Christa.

WOW!!!! LOVE these!!!!!!!!! Ummm… hmmm…. thinking maybe that 1st one would be good in my living room - let’s chat about that:) i love it.
Wow - who needs to visit L.A. if he can see your pix?
They are amazing!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an eye you have lady!!!!!!! WONDERFUL SHOTS!!!!!!
I also love the train/subway shot… so cool! :)
Love this installation!
The first shot just exudes energy…I can feel it! Love them.
These a fabulous - You definitely captured the energy of downtown. They are all great; it is difficult to pick my favorite. Well maybe I’m a bit partial to the LA theatre / birds in the alley shot. :)
I love the one of the city lights, love it!!! and all the photos make me want to venture down town at night, something I would normally not want to do!!!!! (Unless it was a Lakers game…)
The first one is goregous! The light is so vibrant and alive.
Also reminds me of a moonless night sky far out in the boonies. Makes me feel that crowded LA has something in common with the most rural US locations. I have never thought to see it like that before. Makes me a little homesick for days spent out under the stars on crisp evenings in my small Missouri hometwon. Thanks for sharing!
Christa,
I am breathless, this is amazingly gorgeous.I am in love with the first one I want it!
You never stop amazing me with your talent, please keep it up you are a gift to us all…
Very nice work. My favorites are The Energy of L.A. and the shots of Anna at Casa del Mar (of course, some of the credit for those has to go to Anna–gorgeous smile and very sexy).
unbelievable, you are amazing! I may have found a new inspiration…
